In a quiet town, young Sophie works tirelessly as a hat-maker, the only one of her sisters to remain at the family shop after being sent away as apprentices. Her life changes forever when a massive moving fortress appears, rumored to be home to the mysterious wizard Howl, said to steal the souls of young girls.
